Annabel Daou's (b. Beirut, 1967; lives and works in New York) artistic practice takes place at the intersection of writing, speech, and non-verbal modes of communication. Her paper- and tape-based constructions, sound pieces, and performances explore the language of power, intimacy, and self-encounter. Daou's work is often constructed out of lightweight, seemingly ephemeral materials that both indicate and resist a sense of objecthood.

Possibilities of Repair provides an overview of the artist's work from the last two decades of her practice and is complemented by essays by Amanda Abi Khalil, David Markus, Ana Teixeira Pinto, Kathryn S. Poots, Elliot Josephine Leila Reichert, and a conversation between Rania Jaber and the artist.

Ihre papier- und klebebandbasierten Konstruktionen, Klangarbeiten und Performances erforschen die Sprache der Macht, Intimität und Selbstbegegnung. Daous Werke sind häufig aus leichten, scheinbar vergänglichen Materialien konstruiert, die eine gewisse Objektbezogenheit andeuten und dieser zugleich widerstehen.
