Calatrava - Art - The first publication on Calatrava's artistic work in its entirety

Santiago Calatrava is primarily known for his spectacular architectural feats that span the globe. Yet he has never limited himself to architecture alone; rather, he sees himself as an artist. With his painting, sketching, drawing, sculpture, intervention on ceramic, installations and architecture, art represents for Calatrava the purest path for conveying emotion. This comprehensive publication is completely devoted to Calatravas art, revealing his unmistakable style and profound creativity. In Santiago Calatravas mind, there has never been a separation between architecture and art. Both have been a source of nourishment and a laboratory of expression, with the ultimate goal of finding a personal language. With large reproductions and a wide selection of works, this book details an oeuvre that has been silently growing throughout Calatravas life in a multitude of mediums. His artworks have at times been shown in tandem with his architecture in the worlds top museums, but this publication presents for the first time his artistic work in its entirety.
