Die Verheißung des ewigen Lebens - Die neue Wirklichkeit der Auferstehung in Karl Barths »Kirchlicher Dogmatik«

Thema der Arbeit ist das ewige Leben, wie Karl Barth es in der 'Kirchlichen Dogmatik' (KD) erklärt. Im Zusammenhang damit wird gefragt, ob Barth als Abschluss der KD eine Eschatologie hätte entwickeln können. Das Ergebnis der Arbeit lässt sich wie folgt formulieren: Der auferstandene Jesus Christus macht das ewige Leben als Zukunft aller Menschen und dadurch ihre Versöhnung mit Gott offenbar. Die Wirklichkeit des Menschen wird in der Auferweckung der Toten neu qualifiziert: Er wird verjenseitigt, verewigt und verherrlicht werden. Dadurch wird ihm mit allen Erlösten an der Freude Gottes teilgegeben. So wird der Mensch zum eschatologischen Partner und Zeugen Gottes. Die christliche Gemeinde lebt in der Vorfreude auf diese Freude.

The topic of the work is eternal life, as Karl Barth explains it in the 'Church Dogmatics'. In connection with this, it is asked whether Barth could have developed an eschatology as the conclusion of his 'Dogmatics'. The result of the work can be formulated as follows: the resurrected Jesus Christ reveals eternal life as the future of all human beings and thereby their reconciliation with God. The reality of man is re-qualified in the resurrection of the dead: he will be eternalized, immortalized and glorified. As a result, he will share in the joy of God with all the redeemed. In this way, man becomes God's eschatological partner and witness. The Christian community lives in anticipation of this joy.
