Umfang und Grenzen der Bindungswirkung des völkerrechtlichen 1,5-Grad-Ziels - Dissertationsschrift

'Scope and Limits of the Binding Effect of the International Law's 1.5 Degree Target': As part of the KSG, the 1.5 degree target has the status of a federal law. Nevertheless, the German constitutional court recurred to it in the climate decision to concretize Art. 20a GG with some binding force. This study examines the constitutional court's dogmatic construction and possible alternatives. It develops its own solution, which, guided by the application of the ECHR in German constitutional law, is largely based on the origin of the 1.5 degree target in international law.
