Klappentext:
IT professionals turn to Englander to gain a strong understanding of what makes computer systems work. The fourth edition once again provides them with an accessible introduction to thebasic principles of computer system architecture and organization in the context of the current technological landscape. It includes a new chapter on the fundamentals of networking as it relates to computer systems.Buses are now covered in one chapter along with system organization, and the discussion of virtual storage and paging has been moved to the OS Internals chapter. A new chapter has been added that describes business systems of all kinds; from entrepreneurial to small business, networked, distributed, and more. IT professionals will also find several real-world case studies that clearly show how the concepts are applied in the field.
